Mohsin Naqvi’s conspiracy exposed in Asia Cup trophy controversy

New Delhi: Former Bangladesh Cricket Board Secretary General Syed Ashraful Haq has said that current BCB chief Aminul Islam has taken an extraordinary decision. He suggested that the decision was probably taken under the influence of his colleague at the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi. Aminul decided to withdraw from the T20 World Cup in India citing security concerns.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are considered very important compared to other cricket playing countries. However, this group is not in harmony. Ahead of the T20 World Cup, tensions rose with the ICC between India and Sri Lanka, with Bangladesh and Pakistan taking some surprising steps.
Ashraful Haq’s perspective
Bangladesh refused to travel to India citing ‘security concerns’, resulting in their elimination from the tournament. Pakistan then threatened to boycott their match against India, claiming they were showing ‘solidarity’ with Bangladesh.
As a cricket administrator, I give priority to honesty and dedication. Aminul was perhaps naively influenced by the current ACC president Mohsin Naqvi, who inspired him to take this decision. Overall, what was achieved?’ Haq raised the question while discussing with the media.
issue of security concerns
There was a system of anti-India sentiments in the then government. However, Bangladesh needed to gain the support of the Indian cricket administration, in which we had a strong position during the time of Jagmohan Dalmiya. “Now, because of the actions of some people and the government, we are running the risk of becoming a laughing stock,” Haq said.
At the same time, India captain Suryakumar Yadav did not follow the traditional procedure of shaking hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga at the toss of their T20 World Cup match in Colombo on Sunday, February 15, which has been in practice since the Asia Cup in Dubai last year.
