Monalisa Bhosle The story of (Monalisa Bhosle) has been quite interesting and popular. Last year i.e. in 2025, she had gone viral on social media while selling Rudraksh beads in the Mahakumbh Mela of Prayagraj. Because of her beauty and innocence, people started calling her ‘Mahakumbh Girl’. Now she is in the news about her marriage and while talking to the media, she has told about her marriage and under what circumstances she had to marry Farman Khan.

He told the news agency, ‘Let me tell you my whole story. Our marriage took place completely as per Hindu customs. Took seven rounds, wore Mangalsutra, applied vermilion, everything was done in the traditional Hindu way. My husband Farman was initially not ready to marry me. He used to say that he did not want to get married. But I persuaded and explained a lot and finally convinced him. I did not force her, but by lovingly persuading her, I prepared her for marriage.

Marrying brother?

Monalisa said, ‘My parents wanted me to marry my aunt’s son. But he seems to be my brother, because aunt’s son is like a brother to me. I did not like that boy at all, so I clearly refused that I would not marry him. My father is angry with me but he is with me, but he also did not agree to the marriage till the end.

Did Monalisa change religion?

Farman said from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, ‘I am a Muslim myself, we both have maintained our respective religions. I believe that all religions are the same. There is goodness in everything, no one is big or small. Therefore no one needed to change religion for marriage. I am an actor, I work in cinema in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil films. Now I have a new Malayalam film coming, which will be released in about a year. My wife’s name is Monalisa. He is a Hindu. I did everything she said – got married as per Hindu tradition, because she wanted. I love him very much. There is no problem between us.

On March 11, Farman and Monalisa got married at Arumanur Sri Nainar Dev Temple in Poovar area near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Both of them took seven rounds as per Hindu customs and completed the marriage. Monalisa wore a red saree and applied vermilion, while Farman wore a white shirt and mundu. He said, ‘My family wanted me to get married somewhere else. There was a boy in our village with whom they wanted to marry me. But I refused. When asked if she was happy after marrying Farman, Monalisa smiled and said, ‘Now I am very happy.’ On the other hand, Farman told that their love story is six months old, but it feels as if they have been together for sixty years. He said that he found the people of Kerala very supportive. Monalisa also told that she chose Kerala because she likes this state very much. The wedding was attended by many local people, media and some political leaders like V. Sivankutty, M.V. Govindan and A.A. Rahim also joined.
