Monsoon Alert – Thunderstorms to Hit These States, Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued, Check Forecast
New Delhi: The weather pattern across most parts of India appears to be shifting these days, a change that carries the potential for conditions to deteriorate significantly. The upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir continue to witness spells of snowfall, causing temperatures to drop below the freezing point.
Today, March 26, the weather across several states—spanning from North India down to the southern states—is likely to change once again, driven by the activation of a Western Disturbance and the influence of southerly winds. Parts of Delhi and the Delhi-NCR region may once again experience cloudy skies. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for several states.
Know the Weather Forecast for Delhi
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued indicating that skies will remain overcast throughout the day on Thursday in the Delhi-NCR region. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle occurring during the evening or night hours. Additionally, an alert has been issued warning of strong winds blowing at speeds of 20–30 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Delhi is projected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 18 degrees Celsius.

Today’s Weather in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a likelihood of cloudy skies in Uttar Pradesh (UP) as well today, March 26. The region may witness spells of drizzle. Strong winds are also expected to accompany the rain. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued for Lucknow, where the maximum temperature is expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature is likely to settle around 19 degrees Celsius.
Rain Forecast for These States
According to the Meteorological Department, a rain alert has been issued for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to the influence of the Western Disturbance. The higher altitudes in these regions may also experience snowfall. The rain and snowfall are expected to cause a drop in temperatures, and there are indications that the cold conditions may intensify once again.
In Mumbai, the weather is expected to remain normal. An alert has been issued indicating that the daytime temperature will hover in the range of 32–34 degrees Celsius. Light rainfall, accompanied by overcast skies, is forecast for the Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra.
The Meteorological Department has indicated that Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh may experience spells of rain accompanied by lightning and thunder. The risk of lightning strikes remains prevalent across various areas.
