‘More than 100 Pakistanis killed, were ready for ground attack’- Army Chief

In its annual press conference, the Indian Army has once again made many important points regarding Operation Sindoor, terrorism and the functioning of the army. Referring to Operation Sindoor, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has said that the Indian Army was fully prepared for a ground attack at that time. Regarding the discussion of nuclear attack, he replied that there was no such discussion in the DGMO level talks, only the leaders were making such statements. General Upendra Dwivedi also said that Operation Sindoor was a great example of tri-services working together and clear political instructions.

 

He once again reiterated that if any such action happens in future, a befitting reply will be given. General Upendra Dwivedi said during the Army’s press conference, ‘You must be aware that Operation Sindoor is still going on and a similar response will be given in future also. I would like to appreciate the participation of all the stakeholders of the country in this which includes Central Armed Security Forces, Intelligence, Civic Institutions, State Administration and other ministries like Home Ministry, Railways etc.

What did the Army Chief say on Operation Sindoor?

 

General Upendra Dwivedi further said, ‘After the Pahalgam attack, a decision was taken at a high level that a decisive response will be given. Operation Sindoor was planned and executed with utmost precision. That start of 22 minutes on 7th May continued till 10th May i.e. for 88 hours. This operation was to re-establish strategic values, inflict deep wounds and eliminate terror bases as well as respond to long-standing threats.
