More than 900 trained Kuki militants entered Manipur via Myanmar, may target Meitei villages

According to information received from sources, the Kuki militants who entered Manipur via Myanmar are divided into groups of 30 members and are spread across the state. They may attack the villages of the Meitei group on 28 September. This information has been given by a top official of Thoubal district of Manipur. Manipur's security advisor Kuldeep Singh also confirmed this and said that this report is being taken seriously and strict steps are being taken to stop it.

Violence has been going on between the Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur for the last 16 months, but the violence in the month of September shocked everyone. Drones, missiles and dangerous modern weapons were used in this attack. So far 226 people have lost their lives in the fighting between the two communities, hundreds have been injured.
