‘Most prolific film star’: Chiranjeevi awarded Guinness World Record

New Delhi: South-Indian megastar Chiranjeevi has become a living legend with his impressive filmography and career achievements. Well, the actor has now bagged yet another honourable title. That’s right, despite not starring in any movie this year, Chiranjeevi has been awarded the Guinness World Record for being the most prolific film star in Indian cinema.

On September 22, in Hyderabad, actor Aamir Khan awarded Chiranjeevi with the record certificate. The event was graced by several industry professionals such as Aswini Dutt, Allu Aravind, B Gopal, Raghavendra Rao, Suresh Babu, Bobby, Vassishta and Gunasekhar, among others.

Process behind Chiranjeevi’s Guinness World Record

The official adjudicator, Richard Stenning revealed that he personally watched all of Chiranjeevi’s movies before confirming the certification. For context, as per the official record, Chiranjeevi has starred in a total of 156 movies across his 46-year career. This means that the actor was booked and busy as his schedule averaged three movie releases per year.

In addition to this, more statistics revealed that Chiranjeevi has been featured in 537 songs that showed the actor performing 24,000 dance steps.

For context, prolific means producing a commodity in large quantities or with great frequencies. Taking these impressive stats into account, it is no wonder that Chiranjeevi was the deserving winner.

While bestowing the honour to Chiranjeevi, Aamir Khan said that he looks up to the actor as an older brother. He revealed that he was confused when Chiranjeevi himself invited him to the event. He expressed gratitude towards Chiranjeevi and thanked him for letting him become a part of the celebration.
