Motel California: New stills ft. Lee Se Young and Na In Woo’s long-awaited union
Motel California, which stars Lee Se Young and Na In Woo, is finally releasing today! After 12 years of running away from her hometown, the show’s plot centers on a girl who makes an unprecedented comeback. A pivotal interaction between the main cast is depicted in new stills that have been made public ahead of the show’s launch.
New still cuts from the upcoming series, which stars Lee Se Young as Ji Kang Hee and Na In Woo as Cheon Yeon Soo, were revealed by the production team on January 10, 2024. The pictures depict the eagerly anticipated reunion between Yeon Su and Gang Hui, which takes place in the busy center of the city after more than ten years apart.
Their youthful chapter came to an end when Gang Hui departed Hana Village at the beginning of their 20s, which is when they first became separated.
While Yeon Su seems to have remained the same, bringing back memories of the same Yeon Su from their parting years ago, Gang Hui, now in her 30s, has developed into a self-assured professional navigating life in Seoul. The serendipitous encounter that brings them together in the congested streets of Seoul is made more intriguing by the stark contrast between their paths.
Motel California is a romantic drama written by Lee Seo Yoon and directed by Jang Joon Ho and Kim Hyung Min. It is based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 book Home, Bitter Home. The protagonist of the tale is a woman who grew up in the Motel California, a remote motel. She returns twelve years after leaving her small-town roots in an attempt to rediscover her first love while overcoming the obstacles that lie ahead in the place she once called home.
