Motihari encounter: 2 miscreants who threatened to kill 10-15 policemen killed, STF jawan martyred
In Motihari of East Champaran district of Bihar, the police killed two dreaded criminals in an encounter who had threatened to kill 10-15 policemen two days ago. Bihar STF jawan Shriram Yadav was also martyred in this encounter that took place in Ramdiha of Chakia police station area. This incident has become a symbol of the strict action of the police against the criminals.
Two days ago, Kundan Thakur and Priyanshu Dubey had called and threatened the Additional Police Station Officer of Chakia police station from Nepal number. He had said, ‘The city will see our hooliganism. The dead bodies of 10-15 policemen will be scattered. This threat shook the entire district. Taking this seriously, SP Swarn Prabhat alerted the STF and the local police.
Through technical surveillance, the location of both was detected in Ramdiha. The police surrounded them and appealed to surrender, but the miscreants started firing indiscriminately. STF jawan Shriram Yadav was seriously injured in the firing and died in the hospital.
In retaliation, the police killed both the criminals on the spot. One carbine, two pistols and a pistol were recovered from the spot. Many serious cases were already registered against both of them. Some companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
Heavy police force including DIG and SP reached the spot. Chakia area has been converted into a cantonment. An intensive operation is going on in search of absconding criminals. The SP said, ‘Criminals will not get any place in the district. This will be the end of those who challenge the police.
