Motorola G35 Review: A New Budget King or Just Another Contender?
Motorola has expanded its G Series lineup with the launch of the Motorola G35priced under ₹10,000. Touted as one of the fastest 5G-capable smartphones in its segment, the G35 boasts a 50MP primary cameraa 5,000mAh batteryand a UniSOC T760 processor. I spent a week using the device to determine if it lives up to its claims. Here’s my in-depth review.

Design and Display: Style with Functionality
The Motorola G35 surprises with its vegan leather back panela rarity in this price range. The material resists dirt and fingerprints, making it both stylish and practical. Its lightweight design and sleek finish add to the premium feel.
The 6.72-inch LCD screen delivers vibrant colors but falls short on brightness, especially in outdoor settings. While the thick bezels are noticeable, they are forgivable given the budget price point.
Audio Experience:
The bottom-edge speakers with Dolby Atmos support deliver loud and clear sound. However, at full volume, some hand vibrations are noticeable. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included for wired audio lovers.
Performance and Battery: A Mixed Bag
Performance:
The UniSOC T760 chipset is sufficient for basic tasks but struggles with more demanding activities. Animations and content loading occasionally lag, which is noticeable when multitasking. On the upside, Motorola’s clean software approach—free from bloatware—is a breath of fresh air compared to many competitors.
Battery Life:
The 5,000mAh battery is a standout feature, lasting over three days on idle and a full day with moderate usage. Charging, however, is slow; the 18W charging support takes about two hours to fully recharge the device.
Camera: Decent for Basics, but Not Revolutionary
The G35’s 50MP primary camera delivers clear, detailed photos in daylight, enhanced by AI. The 8MP ultrawide lens captures broader scenes but lacks sharpness. The 16MP selfie camera performs well under bright conditions.
At night, the AI attempts to enhance images but struggles with fine details, particularly in low-light scenarios. Overall, the camera setup is suitable for casual photography but won’t satisfy advanced users.
