Everest Pollution Viral Video: The world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, is known for its height and beauty. Located on the border of Nepal and China, this mountain is 8,849 meters high above sea level and every year hundreds of climbers reach here with the dream of conquering it.

But now this dream seems to be turning into a scary reality. Recently, a video that went viral on social media has shocked people, in which the snow of Everest is seen covered with garbage.

In this video shared by a platform named Everest Today, it can be seen that plastic polythene, food packets, old clothes, empty oxygen cylinders and torn tents are scattered among the snow. It is being told that this video is from the year 2024, but the situation remains almost the same even today.

Especially in camps built at high altitude, like Camp-4, where climbers have to survive with the help of oxygen, heaps of garbage have accumulated. This scene shows how much man has ignored nature for his own convenience.

People got angry after watching the video

Everest Today wrote on X that while humans survive on oxygen, the mountain seems to be dying under our waste. It was clearly said in the post that protecting Sagarmatha is not an option but a responsibility. After the video surfaced, people’s anger erupted on social media.

One user wrote that he has been to Everest Base Camp and was heartbroken after seeing this video. Another demanded that cleanliness be made mandatory in mountaineering fees. Many people said that people who cannot bring back their garbage should not be allowed to climb Everest.
