The French referee sent the manager off, and he had to finish the match by sitting on the steps of the stands, something he wasn’t unfamiliar with.

After the match, Mourinho trolled the referee, calling him the best in the world sarcastically.
“The referee told me something incredible. He said at the same time he could see the action in the box and my behavior on the touchline. I congratulate him because he is absolutely incredible.
“During the game, 100 miles per hour, he had one eye on the penalty situation and one eye on my behavior on the bench. That is why he is one of the best referees in the world.”
In the match, United took the lead 15 minutes into the game through Christian Eriksen. The happiness ended in the 49th minute when Youssef En-Nesyri leveled for the home side.
Eric ten Hag’s side’s dreadful run in the Europa League continues as the club is in the 21st position on the table with yet to register a win. Fenerbahce, on the other hand, are at 14th with points.
