With his melodious voice he brought alive many folk songs including Chhath Puja songs. He was born in Supaul district of Bihar and started his singing journey in the 1970s. Sharda Sinha's songs have been popular not only in Bihar but throughout the country. He also lent his voice in Bollywood. Everyone is saddened by his demise on the very first fasting day of Chhath.
