MP Jagdambika Pal laid emphasis on increasing Makhana production, appealed to adopt scientific farming

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the 23rd installment was transferred on Saturday to provide financial support to the farmers. On this occasion, live telecast of the national program organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India was organized at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sohna, Siddharthnagar campus, in which more than 300 farmers of the district participated.
During the program, an amount of Rs 18,880 crore was transferred by the Prime Minister from Tarakeswar (Hooghly) in West Bengal to the bank accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers of the country. Farmers watched the live telecast of the program with great enthusiasm and got information about various farmer friendly schemes of the government.
Chief guest of the program, MP Jagdambika Pal, while addressing the farmers, said that the Central Government is continuously making efforts to increase the income of the farmers. He laid special emphasis on promoting Makhana production in the district and said that its cultivation can become an effective means of increasing the income of farmers. BJP District President Deepak Maurya also inspired the farmers to adopt Makhana production. MLA Shyamadhani Rahi called upon the farmers to join Krishi Vigyan Kendra and do farming through scientific techniques. Shohratgarh MLA Vinay Verma highlighted the achievements and public welfare schemes of the government. Former Basic Education Minister Dr. Satish Dwivedi appealed to the farmers to take maximum benefit of government schemes.

In the program, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, senior scientist and president of Agricultural Science Center, Sohna, welcomed the chief guest and other guests by presenting them a bouquet. Giving information about the programs and modern agricultural techniques run by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in the interest of farmers, he called upon the farmers to join the center and adopt advanced farming. In the programme, mini kits of urad, arhar and corn seeds were distributed to 50 farmers.

Ashok Kumar Pandey, Dr. Shesh Narayan Singh, Dr. Sarvjit, Dr. Pravesh Kumar, Dr. Praveen Kumar Mishra, Sunil Kumar Singh and Neelam Singh and many officers and employees were present. On behalf of the administration, Sub-District Magistrate Itwa Vivekananda, District Development Officer Rajmani Verma, Deputy Agriculture Director Rajesh Kumar, District Agriculture Officer Ravi Shankar Pandey, District Horticulture Officer Vimalkant and officials of various departments were present. Apart from this, a large number of farmers including Mukesh Mishra, Rajkumar Dwivedi, Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Phoolchandra Chaudhary, Jugani Maurya, Phoolmati, Sanita participated in the program.
