Digital Desk, Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Uttar Pradesh profusely during the 136th episode of his popular radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. PM Modi said that under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, the strength and determination of the people in Uttar Pradesh has been seen in a very amazing form. He proudly mentioned that more than 35 crore saplings have been planted in Uttar Pradesh in a single day i.e. on 12th July. Since the Prime Minister himself is an MP from Uttar Pradesh, he said it was a special and proud matter for him.

Countrymen are fulfilling their responsibility towards nature

The Prime Minister further said that today, through the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign across the country, common people are fulfilling their duties and responsibilities towards nature. When the entire society connects with such a beautiful and positive spirit, we have very beautiful and inspiring examples in front of us. The PM also explained that trees are not only essential for humans, but they are also home to countless voiceless creatures. He made a special appeal to all the citizens of the country that we all must connect some special and important occasion of our life with nature and plant ‘a tree in the name of mother’. Just a small sapling planted today can become the biggest legacy of lush greenery, clean air and a beautiful future for the coming generations.

CM Yogi’s message of gratitude regarding nature conservation and green development

State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister by sharing a post on the social media platform ‘X’ after Uttar Pradesh was praised so much in the program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. CM Yogi wrote that in today’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mention of planting more than 35 crore saplings in a single day in UP under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is actually a great honor for the collective consciousness of the state towards environmental protection and the historic success of the huge public participation.

The Chief Minister further wrote that Uttar Pradesh has completely proved that only a society sensitive to nature can lay the strongest and solid foundation of ‘Developed India’. CM Yogi assured the Prime Minister of the country that under his able guidance, Uttar Pradesh will always give new energy to this great national resolution of nature conservation, public participation and green development.
