MP News: Madhya Pradesh government has taken an important decision, giving great relief to the teachers of the school education department. The government has decided to implement the fourth time scale. The General Administration Department has also issued official orders for this. About 1.5 lakh teachers of the state are expected to benefit from this decision.
What happened till now?
Till now, teachers used to get the benefit of time scale on completion of 12 years, 24 years and 30 years depending on their service period. But now the government has added another level to it. According to the new rule, teachers who have completed 35 years of service will also be given an additional pay scale (higher pay level). This will bring a good increase in his salary.
What is the government order?
The government has considered this new pay scale as applicable from July 1, 2023. This means that teachers who have completed 35 years of service by this date will also get the benefit of arrears. At the same time, teachers who will complete 35 years of service between 2023 and 2026 will be given arrears from the date of their eligibility.
Teachers will get financial benefits
Teachers will benefit greatly financially from this decision. According to estimates, every eligible teacher can get arrears ranging from Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh. This will see a big improvement in their income.

This decision is especially a relief for those teachers who have been serving for a long time but could not get promotion due to some reason. Now they will be given higher pay scale through gradual promotion, which will give due respect to their experience and service.

When was the announcement made?
This scheme was announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav about seven months ago on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. After this this proposal got approval in the cabinet and now it has been implemented. However, this decision will also put additional financial burden on the state government. It is estimated that the government will have to spend about Rs 117 crore for this. Nevertheless, the government has implemented this scheme giving priority to the interests of teachers.
