MP Weather Update: Alert of heavy monsoon devastation in 55 districts of MP, do not go out for the next 48 hours even by mistake
Along with the entire country, the impact of monsoon has deepened in Madhya Pradesh as well. On Thursday, the south-west monsoon suddenly gained tremendous speed and within no time it engulfed the entire state. It is a matter of relief that the monsoon, which was far away from Gwalior-Chambal and the border districts adjoining Rajasthan till just a day ago, moved forward rapidly due to the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, now this system is moving towards the north-west direction, due to which there will be continuous torrential rains in the entire state till July 7.
On Thursday, heavy rain was seen in many big and major districts of the state including the capital Bhopal. It rained 9 mm of water in Bhopal from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm i.e. within just 45 minutes. Meteorologist SN Sahu said that the rain activities in the state are going to become more intense from Friday. With this new round of heavy rains, people will not only get relief from the scorching heat, but there will also be a huge drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature of the state.
Clouds rained heavily in Narsinghpur and Seoni, water flowed on the roads
On Thursday, light to moderate rain was recorded in almost all the divisions of the state including Malwa-Nimar, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior-Chambal. According to the latest report received from the Meteorological Center, till 5.30 pm on Thursday, the highest rainfall of 83 mm was recorded in Narsinghpur in the state, while Seoni was at the second place where 63 mm of rain fell. Along with the rain, there was also a strong storm with a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in many districts including Indore, Ujjain and Guna, due to which trees and hoardings fell at many places.
‘Red alert’ in Harda and Khandwa, how will the warning be in your city?
On Friday, many colors of weather will be seen in different districts of Madhya Pradesh, where light rain is expected at some places and very heavy rain at other places. In view of the worsening weather, the Meteorological Center has issued a strong warning and alert for the entire state. The Meteorological Department has put Harda and Khandwa districts on ‘Red Alert’, which simply means that there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain along with lightning in these two districts, hence the local people need to be careful.
Apart from this, the administration has issued ‘Orange Alert’ for Betul, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar and Dewas districts, where moderate to heavy rains may occur. Whereas ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for all the remaining districts of the state including the capital Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa and Gwalior. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder in these areas.
