MPESB Job: Recruitment for more than 1600 posts, apply till 30th April, know age limit and eligibility details
There is good news for the youth who want government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) has invited applications for 1,679 posts under Forest Department and Jail Department. The online application process is going on from 28th February 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply till 30th April by visiting the official website of MPESB.
This recruitment includes the posts of Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Guard and Assistant Jail Superintendent (Van Rakshak, Jail Prahari & Superintendent). The last date for making corrections in the form has been kept as 30 April 2026. The examination will be conducted in two shifts on 07 April. The first shift will be conducted from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Age Limit: The minimum age has been kept at 18 years and maximum age at 33 years. Age will be calculated from January 1, 2026. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and women candidates of Madhya Pradesh will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
Educational Qualification (Eligibility Criteria): Different qualifications have been prescribed for different posts.
- Forest Guard and Field Guard: It is mandatory to have passed 10th (High School) from a recognized board.
- Jail guard: Must have passed 10th or current 12th (10+2) class in the old system.
- Assistant Jail Superintendent: Must have graduate degree from any recognized university.
Application Fee: To fill the online application form, it is mandatory to have an e-mail ID because all the information related to the filled online application form will be made available on e-mail. MPOnline portal fee of Rs 60/- will be payable for the candidates filling online application through kiosk. Apart from this, the portal fee for filling the form by logging in through a registered citizen user will be Rs 20/-. Will be payable.
- Unreserved (General) and Other State Candidates: ₹500 + ₹60 Portal Fee (Total ₹560).
- SC/ST/OBC and Divyang Candidates (Domicile of MP only): ₹250 + ₹60 Portal Fee (Total ₹310).
Selection Process: First of all, online written examination (CBT) will be conducted for selection, which will be of 100 marks. In this, questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Mathematics and Science. After the written examination, successful candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and document verification.
- Written Examination: This will be a Computer Based (CBT) Objective Examination.
- Physical Standard Test and Efficiency Test (PST-PET): Measurement of height and chest,
- Running and walking (as per post).
- Document Verification: Scrutiny of original documents of successful candidates.
- Medical Test: Health checkup before final selection.
Salary: Candidates will be provided Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000 per month. The salary for Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Guard will be between ₹ 19,500 to ₹ 62,000 (Level-4). The salary for Assistant Jail Superintendent is set between ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800 (Level-9).
