For a while now there have been rumours of something brewing between Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush. While Mrunal has called herself his biggest fan, Dhanush has remained tight lipped on the link up rumours. From their social media comments for each other to hyping each other up before any movie, fans have been trying to connect the dots.
A big fan
However, it was Dhanush reaching for the premiere of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ that raised many eyebrows. People were quick to conclude that there was indeed something happening between Mrunal and Dhanush. And now, during the promotions of ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, the ‘Super 30’ actress has revealed why the ‘Raanjhanaa’ actor was there for the premiere.
“After watching Raayan, Maari, Raanjhanaa, Captain Miller, and Asuran, I am a big, big fan of him. I can watch Asuran multiple times. He is such an institution, and it takes so much for an actor to bring out performances from others too. He is a fantastic lyricist, writer, dancer, actor, director- what not,” she told Mirchi praising him.
The premiere
Mrunal said that he happened to be in the same city shooting for ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ during the premiere of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’. She revealed that she just asked him to come for the premiere and little did she know that he would actually turn up.
“It so happened that while he was shooting for Tere Ishk Mein, I just said, ‘Sir, can you please come for the screening of Son of Sardaar?’ I didn’t know he would come. And he just came, and I was so happy. I was like, this is really sweet. I really wish to work with him one day,” she said.
While the actress has clarified that there is just respect and admiration that the two have for each other, the fans can’t wait for this to turn into something more.
