While sharing his experience of working in the film, Mrinal said that during the shooting and after the release of the film, he came to know about some things which disappointed him a lot. In particular, he has expressed his frank opinion regarding the removal of important scenes from the film and the casting.

Perspective changed after seeing Chunky Pandey as husband

Mrunal Thakur told in an interview that initially she was not aware of who was going to play her husband’s character in the film. When she came to know that a very senior actor (Chunky Pandey) was playing the role of her husband ‘Danish’, it was quite shocking for her. Mrinal said, “I had no idea that a very senior actor would become my husband. This changed my entire expectations. The film was not what I had imagined.” He admitted that because of this his confidence in the filmmaking process was slightly shaken.

Important scenes of the film were cut on the editing table

Mrinal also expressed his displeasure regarding the editing of the film. She told that many important scenes which made her character of ‘Rabia Akhtar’ stronger were removed from the final cut of the film. According to Mrinal, “There was a very beautiful and emotional scene in which I am seen with my step daughter (Roshni Walia). That scene deeply brought out the truth of my character, but it was not kept in the film.”

In the film, Ajay Devgan has returned in his iconic role of ‘Jassi’ (Jaswinder Singh Randhawa), where Neeru Bajwa was seen with him.
