MS Dhoni News In Hindi: Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been appointed by the Election Commission as the brand ambassador for the Jharkhand assembly elections. This decision will help in increasing voter awareness. Dhoni has given permission to the Election Commission to use his photographs, which will boost the election campaign. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar told a press conference in Ranchi that Dhoni's main work will be to spread awareness among voters under the SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation) programme. Considering Dhoni's popularity, the Election Commission hopes that he will especially motivate the young voters to vote.

The voting process for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections will begin from November 13, covering 43 constituencies. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) released its first list of 35 candidates on 23 October, while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 66 candidates on 19 October. BJP is contesting the elections in alliance with All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). Along with this, JMM will mainly participate in the elections with Congress.

Dhoni's appointment is likely to increase the excitement in the election environment. His effective public relations and popularity among the youth will enable him to play an important role in voter awareness programmes. Elections for 81 seats will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20 and the results will be declared on November 23. The move is expected to pay off in the selection process and it will be interesting to see how successful Dhoni's efforts are.
