Mukesh Ambani Donates ₹5 Crore to Badrinath and Kedarnath Shrines

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani traveled to the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand on Sunday to seek blessings before Diwali. The billionaire industrialist was welcomed by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) and donated ₹5 crore to the sacred sites.

Mukesh Ambani: Prayers and Public Appearance

Dressed in a simple white kurta pyjama with a beige jacket, Ambani offered prayers at the shrines while being surrounded by tight security. Crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the prominent businessman, who also posed for pictures in front of the temples.

Ambani Family’s History of Devotion

This is not Mukesh Ambani’s first visit to the shrines. Last year, he visited the temples with his family, including Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The Ambani family is known for their frequent temple visits and significant donations to various religious sites, including the donation of a 20-kg gold crown worth ₹15 crore to Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Religious Significance of Kedarnath and Badrinath

Kedarnath, one of the twelve holy Jyotirlingas dedicated to Shiva, is believed to have been built by the Pandavas to please the deity. Badrinath, where Lord Vishnu is said to have meditated, holds immense religious significance. Worship at these shrines and a dip in the Alaknanda River are believed to purify the soul.
