Mukesh Ambani makes life easier for shoppers, introduces ‘Jio Smart Shopping Cart’ which….

Prior to Diwali Mukesh Ambani led Jio has made life much easier for the shoppers, as Smart Shopping Cart option for grocery shoppers, makes the whole bill through artificial intelligence.

In the era of quick commerce, where many customers are ordering online, but still during Diwali and other times also, customers need to go out to buy certain products, for groceries, clothes, or other essentials. However, they have to stand in long billing lines during weekends and other festival seasons. Often, it takes more time to wait for billing than it does to shop for the items themselves.

To solve this problem, Mukesh Ambani has introduced the Smart Shopping Cart, launched at the India Mobile Congress 2024. This cart uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is equipped with cameras to eliminate the need for standing in billing lines or visiting counters.

Jio’s Smart Cart

Mukesh Ambani’s company, Reliance Retail, has launched a revolutionary smart cart designed to enhance the shopping experience. The unique feature of this cart is that as soon as you place shopping items in it, all the details of the products are displayed on the attached screen. The cart will generate a QR code for the bill, allowing customers to make online payments and walk out with their purchases without the hassle of waiting in billing lines.

How Does ‘Jio Smart Cart’ Work?

When a customer places an item in the cart, they need to scan the item’s barcode in front of the camera installed in the cart, much like how a cashier would scan items at a billing counter. Once scanned, the product gets added to the cart’s virtual list, and the customer can physically place the item in the cart.

For removing items, customers just need to scan them again to delete them from the cart. The AI system tracks the items placed in and removed from the cart. Once shopping is complete, the screen on the cart displays the total bill, and a QR code is generated. Shoppers can simply scan the QR code with their mobile phones, pay online, and leave with their items.

AI Track All Items

The smart cart’s AI system ensures that every item placed in the cart is tracked. Even if a customer accidentally misses scanning an item, the AI will detect it and automatically add its cost to the bill. Additionally, all the information about the items placed in the cart is sent to the store’s system. As soon as the shopping is finished, the bill is ready.

Where Is Smart Cart Available?

Although the smart cart has been launched, it is not yet being used on a large scale. Currently, Reliance Retail is testing the cart in selected stores in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The company has plans to introduce this smart cart in other stores across India soon.

In summary, Mukesh Ambani’s smart shopping cart is set to revolutionize the in-store shopping experience, removing the hassle of billing lines and making the process faster and more efficient for customers.
