The Ambanis are not just wealthy in terms of finances and billionaires but are also rich in customs and traditions. On Tuesday, Kokilaben Ambani, the matriarch of the Ambani family, celebrated her 92nd birthday. The family, along with Kokilaben Ambani, visited Shrinathji to seek divine blessings.

The celebration was attended by members of the extended family, including Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Akash Ambani, Anant Ambani, Shloka Mehta Ambani, Radhika Ambani, Anshul Ambani, Anmol Ambani, Neena Kothari and Deepti Salgaonkar. Industrialist Dhanraj Nathwani was also present. They also took blessings from Yuvaacharya Goswami Vishal Bawa. The family entered through the temple’s Moti Mahal Gate and participated in the evening aarti.

Following the darshan, Yuvaacharya Vishal Bawa tied a fenta (traditional turban), draped a rajai (quilt) and uparna (shawl) over family members, offered prasad and bestowed blessings.

After darshan, Tilkayat’s son Vishal Bawa honoured her by draping an uparna and a quilt. Dikshita Bahu also conveyed good wishes on behalf of the temple.

Kokilaben Ambani is the Vice-President of the Nathdwara Temple Board.

On the occasion, Swasti Vachan (recitations for well-being) and Mangalacharan (invocatory verses) were chanted by 51 Vedic scholars in the assembly of Mahaprabhuji. Birthday wishes were further marked by organising a Bhajan Sandhya (evening of devotional songs) at Moti Mahal Chowk.

Before arriving in Nathdwara, the Ambani family also visited the Eklingnath Temple, the principal deity of Mewar. Kokilaben Ambani’s foot-casting video was shared on Instagram.

Kokilaben Ambani wore a simple lime green saree. Draped in a delicate chiffon saree, she exuded royalty with simplicity.
