Mukesh Ambani’s Rs 150 Crore Airbus H160 Helicopter On Video

Mukesh Ambani and his family are among the richest in the country. The billionaire family owns several businesses, and like most wealthy businessmen, they have a lavish lifestyle. Expensive cars are part of their lifestyle, and they have one of the largest private car collections in the country. They are believed to own over 150 cars in their collection. Last year, we saw a post where a helicopter bought by the Ambanis was being delivered to them on a flatbed. We now have a better video of the same chopper, which is now fully assembled.

The video has been shared by Flyyo India on their Instagram page. The video gives us a quick look at the Ambani family’s latest possession, a brand-new Airbus H160 helicopter. The Ambani family owns several expensive and exotic cars, and for those who don’t know, the Airbus H160 seen here in the video is often called the Rolls-Royce of the skies.

That statement explains a lot about the helicopter. It has been completely customised as per customer request and is finished in a silver-and-black dual-tone shade. We see the helicopter at the helipad, and it also shows the chopper taking off. It should be noted that the chopper seen earlier on the trailer had a red shade. We are not sure if this is the same helicopter or if the family bought a new one recently.

We say this because the helicopter is seen receiving a water salute before landing. This usually happens during a maiden flight or when an aircraft or chopper is landing at a new airport.

We also get a glimpse of the interior or the cabin of the chopper. It is finished in a beige shade with wooden panels on the roof and other parts. There are electric cushions for passengers, ensuring a comfortable flight.

Airbus H160

The Airbus H160 helicopter is not an entry-level chopper. As per reports, this chopper costs around Rs 150 crore as a starting price. Depending on the level of customisation, the price can go up even further.

It comes equipped with two Safran Arrano 1A turboshaft engines, each producing about 1,300 bhp. It can cruise at a speed of 255 km/h and has a range of 890 km with standard fuel tanks. The Airbus H160 also has an endurance of 4 hours and 30 minutes.

As for seating capacity, it can accommodate one or two pilots along with 12 passengers in standard configuration. The one owned by the Ambanis has a customised cabin, and we assume it might have space for a maximum of 4–6 people, excluding the pilots. It is one of the most sophisticated helicopters currently on sale in the market.

Not the Only Aircraft

If you have been a regular visitor to our website, you would already know that this is not the only chopper or aircraft owned by the Ambanis. Back in September last year, the Ambani family took delivery of India’s most expensive private jet, a Rs 1,000 crore Boeing 737 MAX 9.

Reliance Industries currently owns a fleet of 10 private jets. The list includes an Airbus A319 ACJ, which has been in service for over 18 years. Apart from this, the company also owns not one but two Bombardier Global 5000s.

Reliance Industries also owns a Bombardier Global 6000, two Dassault Falcon 900s, and an Embraer ERJ-135. Helicopters owned by Reliance Industries include a Dauphin and a Sikorsky S-76, which are used for short-distance travel, particularly between the company’s offices and sites.
