Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role in Shaktimaanhas clarified his statement regarding Shatrughan Sinha, offering an explanation to his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha.
Mukesh clarified that his intention was not to speak ill but to highlight the lack of knowledge among the younger generation. Speaking to the media, he expressed surprise at how long it took Sonakshi to respond, explaining that he was merely pointing out a lack of awareness when Sonakshi failed to answer a question about the Ramayana on the show Who will become a Crorepati?. He stated that Sonakshi was a suitable example of this lack of knowledge at the time.
It’s worth noting that a verbal conflict between Mukesh Khanna and Sonakshi Sinha has been ongoing on social media since 2019. The controversy began after an episode of Who will become a Crorepati?where Sonakshi Sinha failed to answer a question related to the Ramayana. Following this, Mukesh Khanna criticized Shatrughan Sinha, accusing him of not teaching his daughter about the Ramayana and questioning his parenting.
Sonakshi Sinha called Mukesh Khanna’s comments “inappropriate” and demanded that he refrain from further commentary. Defending her father’s upbringing, she stated that it was due to Shatrughan Sinha’s values and training that she was responding to Mukesh Khanna with respect.
