Mukesh Khanna’s veto on Ranveer Singh for Shaktiman rejected the offer of crores of rupees

News India Live, Digital Desk: TV industry’s ‘Bhishma Pitamah’ and India’s first superhero ‘Shaktimaan’ Mukesh Khanna is once again in the news for his harsh attitude. Amidst the brouhaha over the reboot of ‘Shaktimaan’ on the big screen, Mukesh Khanna has put his seal of disagreement on the name of Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh. He has made it clear that even if he has to suffer huge financial losses, he will not compromise with the dignity of ‘Shaktimaan’. Even the Rs 3000 crore success of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ did not come to fruition. The interesting thing is that on one hand, Ranveer Singh’s recent film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has brought a tsunami at the box office and has become the biggest blockbuster of the year by earning a historic amount of Rs 3000 crores worldwide, while Mukesh Khanna seems to be impressed with this success. Not coming. He admitted that Ranveer is a ‘dharandhar’ actor, who plays every role from Khilji to Gully Boy, but he does not find Ranveer’s face ‘innocent’ for ‘Shaktimaan’. Giving the example of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’, during the conversation, Mukesh Khanna also targeted Akshay Kumar. Referring to the film ‘Prithviraj Chauhan’, he said that one does not become a historical character just by wearing a wig or costume. Sharing his experience, he said, “When I used to do a historical role, I used to spend one and a half hours in make-up and had to wear a heavy crown so that the character looked real. Akshay did not look like Emperor Prithviraj in that film.” ‘Shaktimaan’ Mukesh Khanna, ready to face a loss of crores, made a shocking revelation that he is facing a huge financial loss for this project. Sony Pictures is ready to make this mega-budget film and Mukesh Khanna has also been offered a huge amount for it. But he has put a condition that he does not want to see any ‘superstar’ in this role. Mukesh Khanna said, “The pre-made image of a big star can spoil this character. I want a face which is simple, innocent and which children can connect with as soon as they see it.” Auditions will be held across the country, search for a new face. Mukesh Khanna has made his plan clear that he wants to organize auditions across the country for ‘Shaktiman’. He believes that only a new boy, who does not have any old film image, will be able to do justice to this iconic character. He has decided to stick to his guns, ignoring the offer from Sony Pictures, due to which the future of the film seems to be hanging in the balance at the moment.
