In the fifth match of IPL 2026, against Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants gave 21-year-old young player Mukul Chaudhary a chance to make his IPL debut, but Mukul Chaudhary could not do anything special in the debut match and went on to score only 14 runs. In the IPL 2026 auction, Mukul Chaudhary had a base price of Rs 30 lakh, but he was bought by LSG for Rs 2.60 crore, because Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians had also made big bids for Mukul.
Mukul Chaudhary flopped in debut match
Lucknow Super Giants gave Mukul Chaudhary a chance to debut in his very first match of IPL 2026. Lucknow Super Giants, who came to bat first against Delhi Capitals, had a bad start. On the score of 71 runs, half of Lucknow Super Giants team had returned to the pavilion, after which Mukul Chaudhary was sent to bat at number 7, but on his debut match, Mukul Chaudhary could not do wonders and was out after scoring only 14 runs on 11 balls. Kuldeep Yadav showed him the way to the pavilion.

LSG included Mukul Chaudhary in the team for 2.60 crores.
In the IPL 2026 auction, Lucknow Super Giants bought 21-year-old Mukul Chaudhary for Rs 2.60 crore (Rs 2 crore 60 lakh) and made him a part of the team. Whereas his base price was only Rs 30 lakh. Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals also wanted to include Mukul with them. There was a fierce battle for Mukul Chaudhary between MI, RR and LSG, but Lucknow Super Giants won in the end. Mukul plays domestic cricket for Rajasthan. He is a wicketkeeper-batsman and plays the role of finisher in T-20 cricket, but Mukul could not finish in this match against Delhi Capitals. Now it remains to be seen how his performance is in the entire season of IPL 2026.
