Guest bowlers disappointed India after De Kock’s stormy innings.
South Africa, forced to bat first at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Cricket Stadium, scored a mountain-like score of 213 runs for the loss of four wickets with the help of opener Quinton de Kock’s stormy innings (90 runs, 46 balls, seven sixes, five fours). In reply, Otneil Bartman (4-24) and his fellow bowlers allowed the hosts to reach only 162 runs in 19.1 overs.
A stunning innings from Quinton de Kock!
A match-winning performance at the top of the order, combining skill, intent, and flawless execution.
His commanding 90 secures the victory and earns Quinny the Player of the Match honors.

At present, the host bowlers failed to stop De Kock and other batsmen. Now the third T20 International match will be played in Dharamshala on 14 December.

Tilak Verma’s half century attempt failed
Talking about the Indian innings, only Tilak Verma, who came at fifth position, could show some courage with his half-century innings (62 runs, 34 balls, five sixes, two fours). Bartman, Lungi Ngidi (2-26), Marco Jansen (2-25), Lutho Sipmala (2-46) apart from Tilak, Jitesh Sharma (27 runs, 17 balls, two sixes, two fours), Akshar Patel (21 runs, 21 balls, one six, one four), Hardik Pandya (20 runs, 23 balls, one six) and opener Abhishek Sharma (17 runs, eight balls, two Only sixes) were allowed to reach doubles.

The only half-century partnership of 51 runs between Tilak and Pandya
Shubman Gill, who returned after injury, failed for the second consecutive match and could not even open his account on home ground. Same was the condition of captain Suryakumar Yadav (five runs). After four batsmen returned within 67 runs in the eighth over, Tilak made the only half-century partnership of 51 runs with Pandya. After this, Tilak also added 39 with Jitesh. But by then it was too late and the last five wickets fell within five runs.
De Kock and Markram scored 83 runs in 47 balls.
Before this, ‘Player of the Match’ De Kock made an explosive partnership of 83 runs in just 47 balls for the second wicket with captain Aiden Markram (29 runs, 26 balls, two sixes, one four). Later, Donovan Ferreira (30 not out, 16 balls, three sixes, one four) and David Mill (20 not out, 12 balls, one six, two fours) made the team cross 210 runs with an unbroken partnership of 53 runs in 23 balls.
Unwanted record in the name of Arshdeep, bowled seven wides in one over
Among the Indian bowlers who gave away 123 runs in the last 10 overs, Varun Chakraborty took two wickets for 29 runs while Akshar Patel got one success. The thing to note is that during the match, an unwanted Indian record was registered in the name of Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh.
In fact, during the South African innings, India’s Arshdeep bowled seven wide balls while bowling in the 11th over. He became the first bowler for India to bowl seven wides in an over. He gave a total of 18 runs in this over of 13 balls. Overall, India bowled 16 wide balls in the innings and gave away 22 extra runs.
