Mumbai Coastal Road Gardens: Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani made a big announcement for Reliance Industries at its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai. He told that the company is planning to build “Coastal Road Gardens” spread over 130 acres in Mumbai. Working fast on the project.
Nita Ambani said that this garden will be developed on the lines of London’s Hyde Park and New York’s Central Park. The world’s best landscape architects, environmental experts, planners and engineers are working for this project.
15,000 trees have been planted so far
He said that the initial work on the project has started and so far 15,000 trees have been planted. Upon completion of the garden, there will be more than 60,000 trees, which will act as a large green area (green lung) for Mumbai.
In this garden, special paths for walking and cycling, open grounds, public gym, children’s play area and places related to art and culture will be developed. Nita Ambani said that this place will give people an opportunity to connect with peace, clean air and nature amidst the hectic pace of life.
Reliance will also build a medical city
He also informed that Reliance Foundation has so far impacted the lives of more than 9.7 crore Indians. Apart from this, the Foundation will also establish a new university to promote higher education in the country and a medical city to provide world-class health facilities in Mumbai.
