Mumbai-Goa Highway to start by ‘Y’ date; The minister gave the deadline

Mumbai Goa Highway | A major update has come out regarding the Mumbai Goa Highway, the highway that Konkanites have been eagerly waiting for for the past 15 years. Maharashtra Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale has informed that this highway, which has been stalled for several years due to various reasons, will now be completed by May. He has given important updates regarding the Mumbai Goa Highway in the Legislative Council.

MLAs Niranjan Dawkhare, Praveen Darekar, Amol Mitkari and Shashikant Shinde raised questions in the Legislative Council regarding the plight of the Mumbai-Goa highway. At this time, other MLAs from the ruling and opposition benches also tried to target the slow progress of the Mumbai-Goa highway. Davkhare said that the Samriddhi Highway was built, but due to the Mumbai-Goa highway being blocked, the people of Konkan have to suffer a lot during Holi and Ganeshotsav. The Mumbai Goa Highway is a very important road and especially during important festivals like Ganpati festival or Holi, when going to Konkan, the people of Konkan have to face a lot of trouble and difficulties. Darekar asked when the condition of these servants will actually stop.

Responding to this, Minister Shivendraraj Bhosle said, the pending works on the Mumbai-Goa Highway (Mumbai Goa Highway) have been speeded up. Mangaon and Indapur bypass works are going on at war level. Shivendraraje Bhosle promised to complete the rest of Mumbai-Goa highway except Mangaon and Indapur bypass by May. A new agency has been appointed as the old contractor failed. The target is to complete the works by July 2027. Shivendrarajeni informed that the bridge at Chiplun will be opened for traffic by May 2026 after completion of the work.

Due to this, the people of Konkan have got a big relief. At present, due to the bad road, the passengers also spend extra time while traveling from Mumbai to Konkan and have to bear heartache. If you want to go to Konkan by train, you have to face a huge crowd. But now once the Mumbai Goa highway starts, then the tension of passengers going to Konkan will be relieved forever.
