Mumbai Indians beat Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs in IPL match Gujarati

Mumbai: In the IPL match, Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs, Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly. He took 4 wickets giving 22 runs. With the help of brilliant half centuries from Ryan Rickleton (58) and Suryakumar Yadav (54), Mumbai made a strong score of 215 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and all out Lucknow for 161 runs in 20 overs. By winning this match, Mumbai has strengthened its claim for the playoffs.

After dismissing opener Aiden Markram (9), Bumrah dismissed David Miller, Abdul Samad and Avesh Khan in the 16th over. Trent Boult took the wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni and completed his three wickets by bowling Digvesh Rathi on the last ball of the innings while Will Jacques took the wickets of Nicholas Pooran and LSG captain Rishabh Pant. Pant’s bad form continued in this match too and he could score only four runs.

This is Mumbai’s sixth win in 10 matches and it has reached third place in the table with 12 points. Lucknow has suffered its fifth defeat in 10 matches and has 10 points in its account. Lucknow is in sixth place. For Lucknow, Badoni scored the maximum of 35 runs, Marche 34, Pooran 27 and Miller 24 runs. After losing the toss and electing to bat first, Mumbai lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma after an opening partnership of 33 runs. Rohit became the victim of Mayank Yadav after scoring 12 runs with the help of two Chagga.

Ricklett added 55 runs with Will Jacques for the second wicket. Rickleton was out after scoring 58 runs in 32 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes. Will Jacques scored 29 runs in 21 balls with the help of three fours and one six. Suryakumar hit four fours and four sixes in 54 runs in 28 balls. Surya completed his half-century by hitting a sixer but then he got out on Mayank’s bowling. Naman Dheere Annam scored 25 runs and Corbin Bosche scored 20 runs to take Mumbai to 215 runs. Naman Dheere hit Chaggo on the last ball. Naman hit two fours and two sixes in 11 balls. Bosch scored 20 runs in 10 balls with the help of two fours and one six.

Rohit Sharma and Ryan Richel had given an aggressive start to the visitors but Mayank Yadve, who was returning after a long time, sent Rohit back to the pavilion. However, after Rickleton also returned to the pavilion after scoring a half-century, Suryakumar Yadve played an inning of half-century. In the end, useful innings from Naman Dheer and debutant Corbin Bosch helped Mumbai post a score which proved difficult for Lucknow to achieve against Mumbai’s strong bowling attack. For LSG, Mayank took two wickets for 40 runs in four overs. Avesh Khan took two wickets for 42 runs in four overs.
