The franchise has appointed former Australian leg spinner Kristen Beams as the new spin bowling coach of the team. The role of spin bowlers has always been decisive on Indian pitches and in such a situation, the experience of Kristen Beams can prove to be very beneficial for the team.

In the video released by the franchise, Beams said that this is a new and exciting experience for him. He also said that it is a matter of pride for him to come to India as a coach and work with a legendary player like Jhulan Goswami, against whom he has played cricket in his career.

Kristen Beams has a lot of experience in the field of coaching. She has held coaching responsibilities in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and The Hundred League of England. Apart from this, she has also been the coach of Australia’s Under-19 women’s team. Along with serving as National Development Lead at Cricket Australia, he has also held the role of Community Cricket Manager at Cricket Tasmania. His experience can further strengthen the spin unit of Mumbai Indians, which includes many young talents along with experienced bowlers like Amelia Kerr, Saika Ishaq.

If we look at the cricket career of Kristen Beams, she made her international debut for Australia in 2014 and remained a part of the national team till 2017. In the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup, she became the third highest wicket-taker of the tournament, due to which she played an important role in Australia’s success. In his international career, he played one Test, 30 ODI and 18 T20 matches. Apart from this, he also participated in 45 matches in WBBL.

After retiring from playing, Kristen Beams chose coaching as her new path and now she will try to make Mumbai Indians champion once again with her experience.
