Accused of murder of ASI and police encounter in Munger, Bihar, shot in leg, injured
Munger: In Bihar's Munger district, an accused, who was caught in the death of ASI Santosh Kumar Singh in the alleged attack by a group of people, tried to escape by snatching a policeman's rifle on Saturday, after which the police also fired in retaliation in which the accused was injured. He said that during this time, the criminal Guddu Yadav snatched a soldier's rifle and pointed to the policeman and tried to escape, after which the police retaliated and a bullet hit the accused's feet. ”

He said that a total of four accused including Guddu Yadav Yadav and his two brothers, accused in the murder case of ASI Santosh Singh, have been arrested and raids are on for the arrest of others. In this accident, four policemen, including the police station officer, have been admitted to Munger Sadar Hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, people involved in the scuffle attacked the head of ASI with a sharp weapon, causing serious injuries to ASI and immediately rushed to the nearest government hospital, after which he was referred to Patna for better treatment. ” He said that ASI died during treatment at a hospital in Patna early Saturday.

In another similar incident, an ASI died after a scuffle between a group of policemen and a group of people in Araria district on Wednesday night. Asked about the incident of attacks on policemen in various parts of the state in recent times, the SP of Munger said, “All the police stations in the district have been instructed to assess the situation before conducting raids and investigating such cases and always visit the spot with sufficient number of forces to deal with any kind of situation. He said that apart from this, the campaign has been intensified to catch the desired absconding accused in various criminal cases in the state.
