Murder of girl revealed in Bathinda

Punjab news: Police have solved the case of brutal murder of a girl in Bathinda, Punjab. 35 year old Prince Kumar has been arrested in this sensational incident. The deceased has been identified as Sapna alias Malika, a resident of Baghapurana in Moga district. According to the police, on February 9, Prince Kumar killed Sapna by stabbing her with a knife in his house on Surakhpeer Road. After the incident, the accused kept the body hidden in the house for two days. With the intention of destroying the evidence, he also tried to burn the body, but could not burn it completely. After this, he filled the half-burnt body in an old suitcase and threw it by car in a field near Behman Deewana village on the Bathinda-Fazilka highway on the midnight of 10-11 February.

Secret revealed through CCTV footage and call details

Punjab news: After finding the suitcase on February 11, the police registered a case against an unknown accused and started investigation. Bathinda SSP Jyoti Yadav Bains said that the footage of CCTV cameras of Parasram Nagar area was scrutinized. During investigation, Sapna was seen with the accused in the footage of 7th February. The police searched the phone records of the girl and interrogated about 15 people. Meanwhile, suspicion fell on Prince Kumar. During strict interrogation he confessed to his crime. Police have recovered the knife used in the murder, the car carrying the dead body and the suitcase. According to the SSP, the accused lived alone and preliminary investigation has revealed that he committed this crime alone.
