Murder of judge’s father in UP: Shot from a foot away
Bureau Prayagraj- Mohd. Asma Sultana’s father, posted as Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) in Bulandshahr and director of the city’s famous Alveena Bakery. In the murder of Asad (62), the police on Saturday arrested his brother-in-law, history-sheeter Zafar’s son-in-law Mohd. Faizan and his friend Alamgir were arrested.
Police claim that both were involved in the murder conspiracy. During their interrogation, it came to light that Zafar was having a dispute with his younger brother. Mo. Assad was in support of the younger brother. Zafar was angry because of this. Police is busy searching for Zafar and his two sons.
Asma Sultana, resident of Civil Lines Jigar Colony and daughter of the operator of Alveena Bakery, and son-in-law Mohammad Zulkarnain Alam, resident of Lajpat Nagar, are judges. Both are posted as Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) in Bulandshahr.
The second daughter Almas Sultana is an assistant professor at Aligarh University. It is being told that on Friday Mo. Asad had offered namaz and broken iftar near his house in Jigar Colony itself. After this, he along with his younger brother-in-law Mujahid alias Daniel was going on Scooty to read Taraweeh at Lal Masjid located at Kotwali.
Zafar Hussain, who came from behind on a bike at Bangla village intersection in Nagfani area, met his brother-in-law Mohd. Asad was shot in the head and killed. In this case, the younger brother-in-law, his elder brother Zafar Hussain, resident of Dahriya, Nagfani, his son Saiful Zafar, Hussain, Zafar’s son-in-law Mohalla Kanoon Goyan, resident of Mughalpura, Mohd. A murder report has been lodged against Alamgir, resident of Faizan Katghar.
On Saturday police Mohd. Faizan and Alamgir have been arrested. Police claim that Mohd. Asad used to help Zafar and his family financially. Zafar’s younger brother had a house in Ashiana Colony. It is alleged that Zafar had sold this house fraudulently.
