Mustafizur gets NOC for entire IPL – Tezzbuzz
Nazmul Abedeen Fahim, chairman of the BCB Cricket Operations Committee, clarified that Mustafizur will return to Bangladesh for just eight days during the IPL window to feature in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, after which he will rejoin his IPL franchise.
“We have given Mustafizur the NOC for the full IPL,” Fahim stated. “His return for eight days is solely for the ODI series against New Zealand.” This announcement settles all speculation about Mustafizur’s availability, especially following his record-breaking IPL auction deal with Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 9.20 crore — the highest-ever fee for a Bangladeshi cricketer.
Earlier, at the BDCricTime event on Wednesday, BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul highlighted Mustafizur’s consistent IPL performances as a major milestone for Bangladesh cricket.
He also reiterated the board’s longstanding policy of prioritising national duties over franchise cricket, explaining that NOCs are granted only after careful assessment of schedule clashes and team requirements, independent of presidential influence.
Fans will be eager to see the pacer continue his impressive form in the Indian Premier League next year.
