My Adventures With Superman is among the most anticipated animated shows in DC’s slate and will bring a novel vision of the early years of the Man of Steel via the charming adventures of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen. Fans are especially eager for Season 3 of the series to see additional high-flying stunts, love stories, developments in Superman’s family relations, and exhilarating face-offs with Superman’s enemies after all the ups and downs from Season 2 in 2024. Fans can expect Season 3 to debut in 2026 on Adult Swim’s Toonami block with next-day streaming on Max and to continue following the post-production completion and to contain exciting and innovative elements, including the role of Supergirl, bald Lex Luthor’s plans, and the debut of Superboy.

In June 2024, shortly after Season 2 ended, the show was announced to return for its third season. The subsequent season’s production was on track to meet its scheduled timeline, including voice recordings beginning in late 2024 and the start of post production occurring by mid 2025.

At first, there was speculation that the premiere would take place at the end of 2025. However, when the program was not included in the end of year programming schedule, this indicated that the episode had indeed been delayed (was not completed) and would be released in 2026.

While no specific month or date has been publicly announced for the premiere, it has been indicated that the new episodes will air on Adult Swim (likely within the Toonami block) and the new episodes will be streamed on Max (as in previous seasons) the day after they are first run.

Each of the initial two seasons of the series (2020 and 2021) was released in a sequential and annual manner. As such, there is now an extended gap between Seasons 2 and 3 of 2026.

My Adventures with Superman Season 3: Plot Details

In season two of Superman & Lois, the battle with Brainiac comes to an end, and Kara is now free from her control, which creates a much stronger ‘Superman family’ dynamic.

In season three, viewers can expect to see Clark and Kara grow together as they learn more about their powers and their relationship as a family. Lex Luthor becomes the main villain of the show. Superboy will have a tie to both Kryptonian technology and cloning.

Amanda Waller will be one of the main antagonists, trying to grow tension between the government and the Kent family. Cyborg Superman will bring a darker aspect of technology to the series.

The overall feel of the series will continue with its anime-inspired themes of a coming-of-age story that shows the ups and downs of loving relationships and the growth of a superhero on the streets of Metropolis.

There are no major comic book arcs that will be adapted in season three.
