‘My daughter has been murdered’ Twisha Sharma’s father made serious allegations against his son-in-law, demanded re-postmortem

Bhopal: The news of suicide and murder after marriage is continuously increasing. A similar case has also come to light from Bhopal, which has become a topic of discussion today. Only six months had passed after the love marriage when 33-year-old Twisha Sharma was found dead in her in-laws’ house. Twisha’s father has made serious allegations in this case and termed his daughter’s death as murder and has demanded re-postmortem.

Father’s big accusation

Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma has accused son-in-law Samarth Singh of being addicted to drugs. He said that if any case related to drugs is made then it should be against the son-in-law. Navnidhi Sharma clearly said that the drug allegations leveled against her son are completely wrong.

While talking to journalists, he claimed that his in-laws were trying to suppress the matter. Navnidhi demanded that before the body decomposes, it should be immediately taken to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi and post-mortem should be done again so that the real cause of death can be revealed.

family demands

On May 12, Twisha was found hanging in Katara Hills area of Bhopal. Twisha and Samarth met on a dating app and both got married in December 2025. The family has accused husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law of murder. Navnidhi Sharma said, “We have full suspicion that this is a murder. We want an independent investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court.”

opposition to anticipatory bail

Navnidhi Sharma also opposed the anticipatory bail granted to her mother-in-law. He said that the arrest should have been made after the FIR was registered, but anticipatory bail was granted on the same day. He further said that granting bail on the basis of age and respect is a dangerous precedent. This weakens the entire system of law.

Police investigation continues

SIT is investigating this matter. Assistant Police Commissioner Rajneesh Kashyap said that a case has been registered at Katara Hills police station. Many teams have been deployed to search for the absconding accused and a reward has also been announced.

Work is going on based on technical evidence and other clues. Twisha’s family says they will continue to fight until the truth comes out. The investigation of the case is still going on and further action will be taken when new information comes.
