“My dear Bengalis…” PM Modi’s emotional letter, Sonar Bangla’s promise
West Bengal Election 2026: Assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal this year and the political atmosphere is heated. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written an emotional letter to the people of Bengal. This is being considered as the beginning of the election bugle. The letter is written in both Bengali and Hindi languages and prominently features the slogan “Aabar BJP Sarkar”.
PM Modi’s emotional message
Narendra Modi started his letter with “My dear brothers and sisters of West Bengal”. He talked about realizing the dream of ‘Sonar Bangla’.
The PM wrote that whoever dreams of Sonar Bangla is saddened by the current situation. He assured that the Central Government will work with full force to make Bengal a developed and prosperous state.
Special emphasis on women’s safety
In his letter, the Prime Minister strongly raised the issue of safety of mothers and sisters of Bengal. He wrote that violence against women is a matter of concern in the state.
PM says that unless mothers and daughters are safe, real development is not possible. He promised that law and order will be strengthened and women will be provided a safe environment.
Concern expressed over illegal infiltration
PM Modi also expressed concern about illegal infiltration in Bengal. He said that this is affecting both the identity and security of the state.
He wrote in clear words that it is necessary to free Bengal from violence and infiltration, only then real progress can be achieved. This issue can become a big political issue in the elections.
Mention of central schemes
The Prime Minister mentioned many schemes of the Central Government in his letter. Citing schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, he said that lakhs of families are getting benefits.
He wrote that these schemes have made the life of the poor easier and more relief will be given in the coming times.

Election bugle and ‘Aabar BJP government’
This letter is being considered as the formal beginning of BJP’s election campaign. By giving the slogan of “Aabar BJP Sarkar”, the PM has given a clear indication that the party will enter the field with full force.
Now it will be interesting to see what verdict the people of Bengal give on this emotional appeal and promises of development. At present, there is a lot of stir in the politics of Bengal and the competition is going to be fierce.
