‘My level has not fallen that much…’ Rajinikanth angry over reports of jealousy with CM Vijay
Chennai: South superstar Rajinikanth held a press conference at his home in Chennai on Sunday (May 17). During this, he broke his silence on all the political speculations arising after the results of Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He clearly said that his statements and meetings are being misrepresented. He said that if he had not reacted to these rumours, people would have accepted them as truth.
In fact, actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) registered a landslide victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. After the results, there were reports that Rajinikanth was unhappy with the results, while some people claimed that he was trying to merge the parties. Today he clarified all these things.
Rajinikanth told that after the election results, he had met DMK chief and former Chief Minister MK Stalin, about which many things were said. He made it clear that the friendship between him and Stalin was far above politics. He said that he was personally saddened by Stalin’s defeat on Kulathur seat and that is why he met him.
Rajinikanth said that he is holding a press conference because many rumors are being spread about him regarding the elections.
