Myanmar President Visits India: Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing has reached India for his five-day state visit. He has made a grand start of his historic India tour from the holy city of Bodhgaya in Bihar. His visit is being considered very special to further strengthen relations with the neighboring country. He was given a very warm welcome on his arrival at Bodh Gaya Airport.
At the airport, Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain received him with full honours. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal gave detailed information on the social media platform X. He also expressed happiness by sharing some special pictures of the President’s arrival at Bodh Gaya with the people. This important visit strongly reflects the deep historical and spiritual ties between the two countries.
Partnership will deepen
This visit will further strengthen the cooperation and mutual partnership between India and Myanmar. President Hlaing is going to be on this important and official visit to India from 30 May to 3 June 2026. He is accompanied by a very high level delegation of several cabinet ministers and senior officials.
This is the first and very important visit of U Min Aung Hlaing to India as President. He will have a bilateral talk with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 1 in the capital New Delhi. In this special conversation, strengthening the cultural and civilizational relations between the two countries will be discussed in depth.

Special tour of Mumbai
After Bodh Gaya and Delhi, the President of Myanmar is scheduled to visit the country’s financial capital Mumbai on June 2. In Mumbai, he will take prominent part in many important programs and meetings related to business and industry. Apart from this, President Hlaing will also participate in a special business forum and visit many places.
Myanmar is considered a very special and strategically important neighboring partner country for India. This country is India’s ‘Neighborhood First’, ‘Act East’ and ‘ocean’ It is situated at the very center of important policies like. Experts believe that this visit will give great depth and new strength to India-Myanmar relations.
