‘Na acting na modelling aati isko’: Netizens troll Khushi Kapoor for her ramp walk at Lakmé Fashion Week 2026
Khushi Kapoor’s appearance as a showstopper at Lakmé Fashion Week 2026 may have delivered high on glamour, but her runway walk has landed her at the centre of online criticism, with netizens once again questioning Bollywood celebrities’ presence on fashion ramps.
Walking for designer Aisha Rao at the Jio World Convention Centre, Khushi wore a green embellished lehenga from the Inter-Hana collection. While her outfit—featuring intricate floral embroidery and a modern silhouette—earned praise, her performance on the runway failed to resonate with many viewers.
Internet reacts sharply
As a video of her walk went viral, social media users didn’t hold back. Several comments criticised her confidence and technique, with users writing, “No she can’t walk”, and “This is not how a showstopper performs.”
The trolling soon turned harsher, with remarks like, “Na acting na modeling aati isko” and “Modelling is not her cup of tea.”
Some reactions even compared her unfavourably to her contemporaries and peers. A comment that gained traction read, “Isko dekh ke Janhvi ke liye izzat badh jaati hai,” suggesting that her sister’s performances now seem better in comparison.
Additionally, comparisons with Ananya Panday surfaced across platforms, with users claiming, “Ananya did a better ramp walk,” further fuelling the online debate.
Not an isolated backlash
Khushi Kapoor’s experience reflects a recurring trend. Bollywood actors, including Khushi herself, have previously faced criticism for their ramp walks.
According to a report by India Today, Khushi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were once trolled at India Couture Week, where videos of their runway appearances went viral and drew negative reactions from social media users.
