Kamathi ITI now named after martyr Hemant Karkare, naming campaign inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s vision expanded across the state

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India’ vision, the Maharashtra government is running a campaign to name ITI institutes across the state after great personalities and martyrs. In this series, Maharashtra Government is going to start this initiative from Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) located in Kamthi in Nagpur district. The government has now decided to name Kamathi ITI after martyr Hemant Karkare. This step is being seen as a way to honor the senior officer martyred in the 26/11 attacks.

Karkare’s life is an inspiration for the youth

Giving information, Maharashtra Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha said that Hemant Karkare, who was martyred while fighting terrorists during the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai, was the chief of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). The country can never forget his sacrifice, ITI is being named in honor of his courage, leadership and service to the country. Minister Lodha said that this decision will strengthen the sense of patriotism and responsibility among the students. He said that Karkare’s life is an inspiration for the youth and this naming will give a positive direction to the students.

Also inaugurated the new building of ITI

The formal program of this naming will be organized in Kamthi on April 19 in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Mr. Eknath Shinde, Mrs. Sunetra Pawar and Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrashekhar Bawankule will also be present. The new building of ITI will also be inaugurated during the program. The government says that this initiative is related to PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India’ vision, under which institutions are being named after great personalities and martyrs across the country. According to the state government, more such decisions can be taken in the coming times, so that along with inspiring the youth, great personalities of the country can be honored.
