Najmul Hossain Shanto: Bangladesh captain Shanto is happy even after the defeat; said something surprising after the match

IND vs BAN 1st Test: In the first test match being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India has registered a spectacular victory by defeating Bangladesh by 280 runs. In this match, India had given Bangladesh a huge target of 515 runs. But, the visiting team collapsed on a score of 234 runs in the second innings. However, despite the big defeat against India, Bangladesh team captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto seems satisfied with his team's performance.

In fact, in the post-match presentation after the defeat in the Chennai Test, Bangladeshi captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto praised his fast bowlers Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana. Shanto said, “The way Hasan, Taskin and Rana bowled in the first 2-3 hours was impressive. After this India batted well. Seaming options – everyone contributed. The way we bowled with the new ball is impressive.”

Talking about his batting, Shanto said, “We bowled well in the last few series but we have to maintain it. As a batsman, I always try to contribute. I enjoy my batting. I try to bat as long as I can without thinking about the result. Just try to follow my process and play to my strengths, this is what we wanted to do.”

Let us tell you that except captain Shanto, no batsman of Bangladesh could stand against the Indian bowling. Shanto scored 82 runs in the second innings, but he could not make his team win. Now the second and last match of the Test series between the two teams will be played from September 27 at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Where the Bangladesh team will try to draw the series 1-1, while India will be eyeing to win the series 2-0.
