Nam Long receives ACCA Approved Employer certification

The certification recognizes the group’s systems and practices in training, professional development, and competency maintenance for its finance and accounting workforce in line with international standards.

The ACCA Approved Employer program evaluates organizations that demonstrate structured, transparent, and sustainable approaches to developing financial professionals. The Professional Development category focuses on supporting ACCA members in meeting continuing professional development (CPD) requirements, while promoting clear career pathways and adherence to ethical standards.

Globally, more than 8,100 organizations hold ACCA Approved Employer status. In Vietnam, over 60 companies have received this recognition, mainly in the banking, finance, auditing, technology, multinational corporate, and real estate sectors.

To qualify for the certification, organizations must demonstrate policies and procedures that enable finance staff to meet ACCA’s annual CPD requirements. These include providing access to relevant training, supporting employees in identifying professional development needs, and maintaining regular communication between management and staff on learning outcomes, application of knowledge, and ethical conduct. Certified employers are also required to maintain systems that track career development opportunities and to sustain these standards through periodic ACCA reviews.

Speaking at the certification event, Lucas Loh, CEO of Nam Long Group, said the recognition reflects the company’s long-term approach to organizational development. He noted that while real estate assets are often viewed as a core source of value, the company places strong emphasis on human capital as a driver of sustainable growth.

Loh added that sustainable development is not limited to environmental considerations or ESG frameworks, but also depends on workforce capability, ethical standards, and succession planning. According to the company, these factors are essential to maintaining long-term operational resilience.

Nam Long’s leader said the role of its finance and accounting team has become increasingly important as the group expands integrated urban developments, works more closely with international partners and investors, and strengthens corporate governance practices. In addition to financial reporting, the team is involved in capital management, risk oversight, and strategic decision-making.

The group stated that achieving ACCA Approved Employer status supports three strategic priorities: structured professional development, alignment with international standards, and continuous learning.

“We see this as the beginning of deeper investment in structured training and in building clear career pathways for our team to develop future leadership,” Loh said.
