Namibian captain raises concern over unfair scheduling ahead of India match

Namibian T20 cricket captain Gerhard Erasmus has questioned the unfair scheduling ahead of the clash with India.

The African team is set to play the Asians in Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on February 12 in the group stage of the 2026 T20 World cup.

Ahead of the match, Gerhard questioned the scheduling which gave India more time to prepare as compared to their side.

“Yeah, we haven’t been given a night training (session) before this game, I don’t know why. I think India has two night training (sessions) and I see outside that Canada will have a night training now, so make of that what you want” he said ahead of the big game.

He added that despite the disappointing scheduling, they will “rock up and do our Namibian way, which is to fight”.

Gerhard added that their team needs more time as they have limited experience playing under lights, as they do not have floodlights back home.

On February 15, Namibia will play USA and India will play Pakistan.
