Nana Patekar opens up on bond with Prakash Jha on ‘Sankalp’ set
A strong sense of togetherness had shaped the experience of veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar while working on Sankalpas the actor shared details about his time on set and his bond with director Prakash Jha.
The series, which had been streaming on Amazon MX Player, had brought together a large cast and focused on themes of power and relationships. Nana Patekar had said that beyond the story, it was the atmosphere on set that stood out the most.
Speaking about the environment during the shoot, he had said, “Mein sach kehta hu… In the evening everyone sits together in the unit, food is made, we chat… usse jo bond banta hai na, woh set pe sab kuch aasaan kar deta hai.”
He had added, “People feel that only food is being made, but the vehicle is made into a family.”
The Krantiveer actor had explained that such moments off camera had helped build comfort among the team, which later reflected in their work.
He had also spoken about his long association with Prakash Jha. According to him, their connection had grown over time with mutual understanding.
He had said, “Ek dusre ki achi aur bur baatein ho jaati ho jaati hai, toh then dosti hai hai.”
The Excellence The actor further added, “Hum uska zikar karte ke tujhme yeh harabi hai… woh jo hai uska ke saath usne liya hai mujhe.”
Sankalp had featured an ensemble cast including Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kubbra Sait, Neeraj Kabi and Sanjay Kapoor. The show had explored themes of influence, ambition and ideology through its narrative.
