Napoli could reshuffle goalkeeping department during summer window
According to reports from Alfredo Pedullà Kovar is eyeing a potential move away from PSV this summer and Napoli are among the clubs that the Czech stopper has impressed. He was in goal when PSV thumped Napoli 6-2 in the Champions League during the league phase earlier this season.
Kovar has only been with PSV for one season himself, having joined on an initial loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer. The Eredivisie outfit announced that they had signed the goalkeeper on a four-and-a-half year contract in January of this year.
The 26-year-old spent five years on Manchester United’s books as a youngster prior to his move to Bayer Leverkusen.
Alfredo Pedullà reports that Napoli’s goalkeeping hierarchy could be set for a reshuffle following the recent departure of Antonio Conte. Despite joining less than a year ago, on loan with a potential obligation to buy from Torino, Milinkovic-Savic reportedly faces an uncertain future in Naples.
Pedullà adds that as things stand, Alex Meret stands above the Serbian in the Napoli goalkeeping hierarchy, but the Italian is out of contract at the end of next season himself.
