In fact, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi addressed a joint press conference on the verdict in the National Herald case. Meanwhile, Congress President Kharge said, “The fake case of National Herald has been done in the spirit of political revenge and malice. This newspaper was started in 1938 by freedom fighters, which the BJP government is defaming by linking it to things like money laundering. The truth is that there is nothing in this case, but still BJP is trying to harass the Congress party leaders by making it an issue.”

The Congress President further said, “Modi government has been getting ED cases filed against leaders like this for its political gains. BJP has scared people on its side in this way and formed governments. But now the decision has come in favor of justice. Truth has won. We welcome this decision very much.” He said, “After the verdict in the National Herald case, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah should now resign. This decision of the court is a slap on the face of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. They should give an undertaking that in future they will not harass people.”
