Dream Chaser: Now spacecraft will fly like airplanes, know what is NASA's mission

Washington DC: NASA has launched an ambitious mission. Under this mission, NASA is building a spacecraft that will fly like an airplane. Recently, questions were raised on NASA's space missions after Indian-origin astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore were stranded on the space station. Since then NASA has started this ambitious mission.

NASA will work to deliver necessary literature and things needed for astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) through this spacecraft. This will also help in transportation of astronauts. This campaign has been named SSC Demo-1. Let us know how special is this NASA spacecraft and what it will do during the mission…

It is being told that Dream Chaser will make its first flight in May 2025. The Dream Chaser spacecraft is developed by American space company Sierra Space. It has been designed on the concept of reusable aircraft. This means that it will be used to send cargo to the International Space Station and carry astronauts to the ISS. Its compact size is its specialty. It will be smaller in size than the SpaceX rocket. The Dream Chaser spacecraft can also be modified depending on the mission and requirements.

Dream Chaser needs no pilot

Another special thing about Dream Chaser is that this aircraft will be automatic and will not require a pilot. It is being told that this spacecraft will reach the space station after taking off from the Cape Canaveral launch site in Florida. Spacecraft manufacturer Sierra Space says Dream Chaser will make history. It will be the first commercial spacecraft to fly humans in space and with international cooperation. It will be used to send crew and cargo to low Earth orbit.

Second cargo version of Dream Chaser coming soon

The Dream Chaser spacecraft can also be modified depending on the mission and requirements. It can be modified according to domestic and international operations. It has also been named Tenacity and DC-100. Dream Chaser has been selected to provide cargo delivery and return services to the International Space Station under NASA's Commercial Replenishment Service 2 (CRS-2) contract. A cargo shuttle to and from the space station will be part of Mission-7.

Meanwhile, it is being said that a second cargo version of the Dream Chaser will also be built, which will be known as DC-102 or Reverence. After this, a new spacecraft named DC-200 will be built. This pilot-operated spacecraft will take astronauts to the space station and low Earth orbit.
